Florence is now a post-tropical cyclone as it slowly weakening while moving up the East Coast, according to the National Hurricane Center.
As of 5 a.m. Tuesday, Florence is moving slowly east near 13 mph. Florence is forecast to be absorbed by a loew pressure system come Thursay.
Radar data and surface observations indicate that maximum sustained winds are near 25 mph with higher gusts.
Florence is expected to produce heavy and excessive rainfall in the northeastern United States.
