Police say SUV drove into ammo shop, suspects stole 17 handguns in Suffolk

SUFFOLK, Va. - Police have made several arrests following their intensive investigation after the commercial burglary of CE Tactical in the 1200 block of Holland Road during the early morning hours on August 26, 2018.

Maleek Wilson, 18, of Norfolk and Elijah Hicks, 18, of Virginia Beach were both charged with Burglary, Conspire to Commit Burglary, Grand Larceny, Larceny, and Conspire to Commit Grand Larceny (2 counts) in September.

A 17-year-old juvenile from Norfolk and 15-year-old juvenile from Virginia Beach were charged with Grand Larceny Firearm with 17 counts each. They are age 17, of Norfolk, and age 15, of Virginia Beach.

Upon preliminary investigation, it was found that several individuals drove a dark colored SUV through the front doors gaining entry into the store.

Suffolk Police said  a total of 17 handguns were taken in the burglary. Suffolk Police are coordinating with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) on the investigation.

The investigations remain ongoing and additional charges may be forthcoming.

No injuries were reported.
