The Greater Hampton Roads Crime Lines is preparing for its 18th Annual Top Cop Awards Dinner and Silent Auction and they need your help.
They're looking for nominations for people and businesses who are making their communities safer as well as donations to help support Crime Line.
The awards dinner is the largest regional fundraiser for Crime Line, which uses the 1-888-LOCK-U-UP and P3 tips software to generate tips about crimes in the area.
Along with paying for those services, Crime Line also pays out money to tipsters.
The program is supported entirely through private sources, including donations and fundraisers.

This year's Top Cop event will be held at the Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront on Saturday, Nov. 3.
