NORFOLK, Va. - Norfolk Police are investigating a shooting that injured two men Wednesday night.
The shooting happened in the 200 block of Dulwich Crescent around 8 p.m. Police arrived to find a man inside a home suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Shortly after locating the first victim, officers were called to the 9500 block of 1st View Street, where they found another man who was also suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Both victims were taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. On Thursday, police said both victims are expected to survive.
One of the men ran onto the driveway of a neighbor's home. Matthew Charles says the man was very bloody and asking for water. Police quickly arrived and took control of the situation. "I was stumbling over my words so much when I initially got to the guy because I couldn’t just process it," Charles said. "He was so badly injured I had just never seen anything like that before so I couldn’t even talk."
