Portsmouth crews respond to auto shop fire

PORTSMOUTH, Va. -Portsmouth Fire and Rescue personnel responded to the scene of a commercial fire in the 1700 block of Airline Blvd., Tuesday morning.

Fire was reported out around 9:30 a.m. and crews were called to the scene around 7:45 a.m.

One man outside the auto shop said he saw smoke and rushed to make sure no one was inside the building then he started hearing explosions from inside the building.

There is no word yet on the cause of the fire.
