HAMPTON ROADS, Va. – Service has been restored to most residents Sunday after thousands were without power due to severe storms that moved through Hampton Roads Saturday afternoon.

As of 11 a.m. Sunday, about 69 customers are still without power in Virginia Beach. About 40 customers are waiting for power to be restored in Norfolk, and only 18 households don’t have power.

Virginia Beach and Norfolk originally had more than 4,000 residents without power around 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

According to Dominion Energy, restoration times are also estimated to be between 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
