Rabid raccoons found in two areas of Virginia Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Rabid raccoons were found in two areas of Virginia Beach Friday.

According to the City of Virginia Beach, one was found in the 500 block of Lake Drive in the Pine Wood subdivision.

Another one was reported in the 4400 block of Bonney Road.

The city recommends that anyone who has had any exposure to stray or wild animals in this area call their physician or the Health Department at 757-518-2700.
