DARE COUNTY, N.C. - A single-engine plane carrying one person crashed at Dare County Regional Airport Wednesday morning.
Dispatchers received a call about the incident around 10:30 a.m.
Later Wednesday, officials said 35-year-old Daniel Morgan Lane died in the crash.
The NTSB said the plane crashed while towing a banner and they are investigating the cause.
