Meteorologist Madeline Evans’ First Warning Forecast

We are tracking a slow moving front that will be moving through the area throughout the evening. Most of us will stay dry throughout the afternoon which will allow us to really heat up. We will reach the upper 80s for highs today but with the amount of humidity we will feel more like the mid 90s throughout the day. There will only be a slight chance at some pop up showers through the early afternoon then jump to a 30% for the evening. Even though rain won’t be widespread we do have the ingredients for a strong to severe storm tonight. Strong winds and heavy downpours will be the main threats within the thunderstorms.

Sunday we will have more widespread rain and thunderstorms but as of now we do not have a chance for severe weather. There will be a 50% chance of rain throughout the entire day. It will be off and on showers with heavy downpours at times. With the rain and mostly cloudy sky temperatures will be a little cooler but right around normal. We will reach the mid 80s for highs.

Rain will continue into Monday with a 60% chance and temperatures will drop into the upper 70s and lower 80s. We will stay mostly cloudy and there is a chance for thunderstorms but not severe.

We are tracking rain chances pretty much every day of next week but no day is a washout. Tuesday-Friday we will see a 30-40% chance of rain with temperatures in the mid to upper 80s.

Today: Mostly Sunny, PM Storms (30%) Wind: SE 10-15 mph

Tomorrow: Mostly Cloudy, Scattered Rain/Thunderstorms (50%) Wind: SE 10-15 mph
