CHESAPEAKE, Va. – Chesapeake Public Works went above and beyond to help a dog that was stuck in a storm drain on Thursday.

According to officials, the owner called the City of Chesapeake to help the dog, named Stevie, who got into and was stuck in the drain’s drop inlet.

Herbert Lawrence, who works for Chesapeake, was able to coax Stevie out with a piece of ham from his lunch.
