NORFOLK, Va. – Three adults are displaced after the roof of their home collapsed, according to Norfolk Fire Rescue officials.

It happened Tuesday just before 11 a.m. in the 2200 block of Maltby Avenue.

The ceiling inside the living room of an apartment collapsed due to the poor condition of the ceiling and because of recent rain, the Fire Marshall’s Office said.

Water leaking from the ceiling has been an ongoing issue in the residence and the collapse today was a combination of the deterioration of the ceiling and the rain.

No injuries have been reported.
