Hampton Police charge jewelry thief suspects

HAMPTON, Va. – Police were looking for help to identify suspects in connection with a business robbery that happened in May.

June 20 police said they have made two arrests. Paul Jenkins andDerek Debroux,have both been apprehended and charged with the incident.

The investigation revealed that on May 24 around 4 p.m., both Jenkins and Debroux entered the Suns Jewelry and Clocks business located in the 1st block of Coliseum Crossing.

Once the suspects entered the business, a firearm was displayed, and the display cases were forcibly entered, allowing the suspects to remove various items of jewelry from the business prior to fleeing from the store on foot.

Jenkins and Debroux both been charged with one count of Robbery and one count of Use of Firearm in Commission of a Felony.
