36 firefighters respond to fire in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. – 36 firefighters from Norfolk responded to a fire in the 6000 block of Newport Avenue.

According to officials, the two-story house fire started around 9:30 p.m. Sunday evening, and was under control by 11 p.m.

Nobody was home when the fire started and officials are still investigating the incident.

One firefighter was treated on-scene for heat exhaustion.
