Chesapeake firefighters use chainsaws, rescue tools to free person trapped in car

CHESAPEAKE, Va. – Chesapeake fire crews responded to a single-vehicle crash Saturday morning around 8:20 a.m.

The crash happened on I-64E near the High Rise Bridge.

The crash left a person trapped in their car.  With the use of chainsaws and rescue tools, firefighters were able to free the person in approximately 16 minutes.

The person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
