Portsmouth Police investigating after man shot in upper body

PORTSMOUTH, Va. – The Portsmouth Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a man injured near the intersection of Mascott Street and Pullman Avenue Friday night.

The call came in shortly after 10 p.m.

Authorities say a man was shot in his upper body. His injuries are reported to be non-life threatening.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
