ARLINGTON, Texas – Alabama is moving to Loudon County. At least that’s what the trend would show. The Washington Redskins selected Alabama defensive tackle Da’Ron Payne with the 13th pick in the 2018 NFL Draft on Thursday.

Payne is the second consecutive defensive first-round draft pick for the Redskins, following up on former Alabama defensive lineman Jonathan Allen in 2017.

In 35 games at Alabama, Payne logged 102 tackles, including five tackles for loss, and three sacks. The Redskins were the worst run-stopping defense in the league last season.

It seems that the ‘Skins defense is excited about their new addition:

The Redskins will be back on the clock with the 44th overall pick in the second round.
