Four displaced after Virginia Beach house fire

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Four people have been displaced after a fire damaged a home in the 4400 block of Chelsea Street Wednesday afternoon.

Firefighters with the Virginia Beach Fire Department responded to the scene around 4:30 p.m. Units reported heavy smoke and fire showing from the home.

The fire was brought under control around 4:42 p.m. Multiple handlines were used.

Authorities said a dog died in the fire. No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
