Man dies from injuries after Norfolk shooting

NORFOLK, Va. - The Norfolk Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a man dead in the 7900 block of Thompson Road Friday night.

The call came in around 9:45 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they found 20-year-old Jalen C. Barnhill outside suffering from a gunshot wound.

Barnhill was taken to a local hospital for treatment, where he later died.

Detectives have not released any suspect information.
