Virginia Beach Police investigating homicide

Update: A suspect has been arrested.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Virginia Beach Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting in the 600 block of Newtown Road Thursday night. 

The call came in at 8:47 p.m.

Police arrived at the scene to find a man dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

This incident is being investigated by the Virginia Beach Police Investigative Division/Homicide Unit.
