Virginia Beach Police investigating bank robbery

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Virginia Beach Police Department is investigating a bank robbery at the BB&T bank in the 800 block of Lynnhaven Parkway Monday afternoon.

The call came in around 2.21 p.m. Authorities were advised that a man armed with a gun walked into the bank and demanded money from a teller. He fled the scene after receiving an undisclosed amount of money.

There is no further information.

This case is under investigation  by the VBPD Investigative Divisions Robbery Squad.
