Firefighters respond to house fire in Newport News

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Crews responded to a fire at a two-story  house Sunday morning, according to Newport News Fire officials.

It happened around 8 a.m. in the 300 block of Chesapeake Avenue.

Fire officials say the homeowners were able to escape before firefighters arrived.

No one was injured.
