MATHEWS COUNTY, Va. – Mathews County High School has been evacuated due to a possible threat, according to the Mathews County Public Schools Assistant Superintendent Leslie Hunley.
Student and staff were taken via school bus to Thomas Hunter Middle School as law enforcement investigates the situation.
It’s the second threat in two weeks. On January 30, the school was closed after a threat was made.
There is no further information at this time.
