HAMPTON, Va. - A woman was critically injured in a shooting in the 300 block of Lynnhaven Drive Tuesday afternoon.
Dispatchers received the call at 2:47 p.m.
Police arrived at the scene and found the woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
After a preliminary investigation, police confirmed that the shooting was the result of a domestic argument. Neighbors say the argument was between the woman and her boyfriend and that at some point, both started shooting at each other.
Police say this appears to be an isolated incident and that all parties involved have been identified and are cooperating with the investigation. No arrests have been made at this point.
