Tropical Storm Maria continues to move away from the East Coast

MIAMI, Fla. - Maria has again weakened to a tropical storm as it continues to move away from the east coast.

All Tropical Storm Warnings have been discontinued.

As of 11 p.m. Thursday, the center of the storm is moving east at 17 mph. It is expected to accelerate eastward through Thursday night.

The storm is forecast to turn back toward the east-northeast with an additional increase in forward speed on Friday and Friday night.

Maximum sustained winds are near 65 mph with higher gusts. Little change in strength is forecast during the next 48 hours.
