VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – A Virginia Beach Police officer was involved in a vehicle collision at the corner of Virginia Beach Boulevard and N Lynnhaven Road early Friday evening.
The police vehicle responded to a priority call in the 2800 Virginia Beach Boulevard and was traveling eastbound with his emergency equipment activated. As the officer entered the intersection, his vehicle collided with a green Toyota pickup truck.
Both the officer and the driver of the pickup were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The case remains under investigation by the Virginia Beach Police Department’s Crash Team.
