Tropical Storm Warning expires in Dare County

MIAMI, Fla. – A Tropical Storm Warning for Dare County has expired. The warning was from Surf City to Duck and includes the Albemarle Sound and Pamlico Sound.

The National Hurricane Center says surface observations show that pressures are falling and there is no longer a possibility of the storm becoming a tropical cyclone.

A High Wind Warning will be in effect from Noon Tuesday through 9 p.m. for the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

A Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect until 11 p.m. for much of Hampton Roads, areas near the James River and tidal tributaries.
