Two men suffer serious injuries in Norfolk double shooting

NORFOLK, Va. – Police are investigating a double shooting Thursday night.

Police said while they were responding to the 2400 block of East Princess Anne Road around 9:40 p.m. for a gunshot disturbance another call was made about a second disturbance in the 1200 block of Lead Street.

When police got to East Princess Anne Road they found a 39-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds. At Lead Street police said they found a 26-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds as well.

Police said the men were taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with serious injuries. They are expected to be okay.

Preliminary information revealed both men were shot in the 2400 block of E. Princess Anne Road during an isolated incident.  After the shooting, the 26-year-old man ran from the scene to Lead Street, according to police.
