Virginia Beach Police Officer on motorcycle injured in crash with SUV on Dam Neck Road

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – A Virginia Beach Police Officer on a motorcycle was injured and transported to a local hospital after being involved in a crash on Dam Neck Road on Thursday morning.

The crash occurred on Dam Neck Road at Monet Drive and involved the officer’s motorcycle and an SUV as he was responding to an accident with injuries near London Bridge Road.

As the officer was passing S. Rosemont Road, the motorcycle and a Nissan SUV collided. The operator of the SUV was not injured and stayed on the scene. The officer was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries and is still being treated for those injuries at this time

The 3400 block of NB Dam Neck Road was closed but reopened around 12:30 p.m.
