Virginia Beach residence catches fire from lightning strike

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – A multi-family home caught fire in the 800 block of Cambridge Drive Saturday night after being struck by lightning.

The call came in just before midnight. After crews arrived on scene, the fire was put out in about 40 minutes.

One resident was displaced and there were no reports of any injuries. The fire was contained to the attic.
