Fort Eustis training will include flares, blank ammunition

FORT EUSTIS – A maritime training exercise will be conducted June 23 – 27 from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Fort Eustis.

The training will occur at the James River Fleet and will include flares and the firing of blank ammunition.

Noise concerns are expected to be minimal. However, some nearby residents may see flares and hear sounds that simulate live gunfire.
