Pet pig on the loose rescued in Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH, Va. – Police and Animal Control were very busy Saturday.

News 3 told you about police rescuing opossums on from the side of the road around 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

Next, shortly after the opossum rescue Animal Control found a pet pig on the loose!

The pig was rescued but there is no further information about where exactly it came from.

Finally, shortly after 3:30 p.m. an officer found a baby bird in the 3400 block of Columbia Street and rescued it as well.
