Man dead, woman in serious condition after Elizabeth City Shooting

ELIZABETH CITY, NC – Police are investigating a double shooting that happened Friday evening.

Officers responded to the 100 block of Celeste Street around 7:40 p.m. to a report of gunshots fired in the area.

When they arrived, they found two victims with gunshot wounds.

Police say the victims are 19-year-old Tyshaun Henry and 18-year-old McKenzie Farr, both from North Carolina.

Henry was taken to Sentara Albemarle Medical Center where he died from his injuries.  Farr was airlifted to Sentara Norfolk General where she remains in critical condition.

According to police, the victims were shot by unknown suspects.
