VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. - Spring Break is here and tourists are back out on the Oceanfront. "Our sales are going up like we're a lot busier than we were last year at this point," said Natalie Johnson, Forbes Candies employee.

Looking inside of Forbes Candies you can tell right away that the Virginia Beach Oceanfront is open for the summer season.

"We've been getting a lot busier," added Johnson. "A lot of tourists coming in for competitions like wrestling, cheerleading and Spring Break for high schoolers. We're going to get busier with college students too."

The oceanfront has been a prime location for many tourist and local families, particularly for those along the east coast.

Visitor Angela Hodges and her family say that they've been coming to the oceanfront for the last 40 years.

"You can park your vehicle and enjoy the day, walk on the beach, getting in the ocean, ridding your scooters," said Hodges.

For many tourists, the oceanfront is a place that they return to again and again.

"We're going to come back here for my mom's birthday July 4!" mentioned visitor Johnathan Rodriguez.
