Police investigate after man walks into Portsmouth hospital with gunshot wound

PORTSMOUTH, Va. – Police are investigating after a man walked into a local hospital with a gunshot wound on Tuesday.

When officers arrived at the hospital, they found an adult male victim suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his arm.

The victim said the incident happened in the 800 block of Martin Avenue and that he drove himself to the emergency room for treatment.

Detectives said they do not have a suspect or motive in this case and are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
