Woman displaced following Chesapeake house fire

CHESAPEAKE, Va. – A woman is displaced after a fire damaged her homeĀ in the 100 block of Jones Street, located in the Crestwood section of the city.

The call came in Thursday at 12:50 p.m.

When firefighters arrived, they saw heavy smoke coming from the one-story, single-family home.

Crews were able to get the fire under control at 1:11 p.m.

The fire heavily damaged one bedroom and spread to the attic. There is also smoke damage throughout the home.

No one was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
