AT&T resolves nationwide 911 call outages

AT&T was experiencing a nationwide 9-1-1 outages on Wednesday night.

The cell network outage was affecting AT&T cell phone subscribers.

Users were having issues calling 9-1-1.

This affected only AT&T subscribers. All others could still use 9-1-1 for emergency calls.

Users experiencing problems were asked to call alternate numbers in case of emergencies:

  • Accomack or Northampton Counties call the non-emergency numbers at 757-787-0911 or 757-442-0911
  • Currituck call the administrative line at 252-232-2216
  • Hampton call 757-727-6111
  • Portsmouth call the police department at 757-393-5300
  • Virginia Beach call the non-emergency number at 757-385-5000 or send a text message to 911
  • York Poquoson-Williamsburg call the 911 center at 890-3621
