Police investigate double shooting in Newport News

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Police are investigating after two people were shot Tuesday night.

Police dispatchers received a call at 11:06 p.m. about a shooting at 33rd Street and Madison Avenue.

When police arrived they located two male victims, 24 and 25-years-old with gunshot wounds to the leg.

They were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say a dark colored vehicle drove by in the area of 33rd Street and Madison Avenue when the two victims were shot.
