Police investigate hit-and-run near Naval Air Station Oceana

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Police are investigating a hit-and-run near Naval Station Oceana.

On Friday around 10 p.m. Emergency Communications received a call about an accident in the intersection of Dam Neck Road and Drakesmile Road.

The incident was a hit-and-run, police said.

Officers on scene made contact with the victim and said there were no injuries reported.

While investigating the accident, officers got the suspect vehicle description.

Officers also reported property damage to the Naval Air Station Oceana gate 2.

Officers made access to the base in an attempt to locate the suspect.

At that point, police said they made contact with base security.

The incident is under police investigation.
