JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS – Fort Eustis is conducting multiple training exercises that will last through Feb. 28.

An emergency response exercise is scheduled for Thursday. The exercise is to test the installation’s response to an emergency incident or accident.

There should be minimal impact to normal operations. However, some local residents may see an increase in emergency response activities.

A maritime training exercise will be conducted from Friday, Feb. 24 through Tuesday, Feb. 28 from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

The training will occur at the James River Fleet and will include firing blank ammunition.

The noise concerns are expected to be minimal but some local residents may hear sounds that simulate live fire.
