Hampton elementary school evacuated due to smoke

HAMPTON, Va. – Armstrong School for the Arts was evacuated Tuesday afternoon due to smoke on the third floor.

Students were evacuated around 12 p.m. and waited outside as fire crews worked. Due to the cold weather, students walked to Hunter B. Andrews PreK-8 School to wait. They are expected to return to Armstrong Tuesday afternoon.

No injuries were reported.
