NORFOLK, Va. -  Detectives are investigating an undetermined death after a man's body was found in a vehicle in the 300 block of Fort Worth Avenue.

Somebody noticed the body and called police just after 4 P.M. Saturday afternoon.

When officers arrived, they found the body of a 47-year-old man inside the vehicle.

Neighbors say he was in the car for three days.

“We just all assumed that he was in there intoxicated or sleep," Paulette Davis said. “We didn’t think anything of it. Everybody kind of stays to themselves.”

Davis says she wishes they would have taken action sooner.

"I’m kind of shocked that after two, three days no one knocked on the window or called the police or attempted to say ‘hey’ to find out his well being," Davis explained.

Officials tell News 3 the investigation is currently on-going.

We won't know a cause of death until an autopsy report is completed.
