Virginia Beach firefighters respond to house fire

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Virginia Beach firefighters responded to a house fire on Tuesday night in the 4100 block of O’Hare Drive.

Units arrived on scene around 11:30 p.m. and found a heavy fire coming from the garage of the home.

Crews were able to bring the fire under control but not before it spread into the second floor and attic of the home.

Officials say there were no injuries reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation although Virginia Beach Fire Investigators have confirmed that the fire started outside the garage area of the home in a plastic trash can.
