Portsmouth Police investigate robbery at dollar store

PORTSMOUTH, Va. – Police are investigating a robbery at a dollar store Wednesday night.

Officers were called to a Family Dollar store on Greenwood Drive just before 7 p.m.

Police said a male suspect entered the business, implied he had a handgun and demanded money from the clerks. The clerks complied with the suspect’s demands and the suspect fled the business.

No one was injured.

The suspect was described as a black male last seen wearing navy blue coveralls, dark colored shoes, a black mask and black/orange gloves.
