VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Charges are pending for a man hit by a car in the 1300 block of North Great Neck Road and 2200 block of Laurel Cove.
Police received a call for a car/pedestrian incident on Sunday around 11:30 a.m.
A preliminary investigation shows that the car was headed southbound on Great Neck Road with a green light and had the right of way.
According to police, the pedestrian was headed westbound and entered the roadway on a skateboard.
He was struck by a vehicle and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver remained on scene.
