Virginia Beach opens new ALDI grocery store

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - ALDI has arrived at the beach! The new store opened its doors to customers on Thursday.

Located at 1436 Kempsville Road, this store adds another location to the nearly 1,600 stores in 34 states.

ALDI hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:25 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15 and following the ceremony, the first 100 shoppers received a 'golden ticket,' ALDI gift cards of various amounts.

This is the first ALDI in Virginia Beach and Jeff Baehr, Frederick division vice president for ALDI. “We challenge shoppers to switch from national brands to our high-quality exclusive brands and save up to 50 % without compromising. As important as price is, the only way to attract and keep shoppers is to have quality products."

The newest location will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
