VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Want to be apart of the biggest Santa run ever? Look no further than the Virginia Beach Oceanfront!

Jerry and Amy Frostick, creators of J&A Racing, have organized a race that could break a Guinness World Record for the largest race where all the runners are dressed as Santa.

The race needed 4,961 runners. Right now they have more than 5,300 BUT the catch is they need everyone to finish in their five-piece Santa suit.

Runners were provided with the suit as part of their entry fee so there should be thousands of Santa Clauses running around the Oceanfront on Saturday. Plus, every finisher gets a medal that doubles as a bottle opener.

The race originated as a 10 miler and over the past few years it has been cut down to a 5 miler due to logistics of the course. It starts and ends at the Virginia Beach Convention Center.

If you want to run, but haven't signed up yet you can register online up until midnight on Thursday. The expo is held Friday at the Convention Center where there is in -person sign up available. Assuming there is still entry space in the race, there will be day-of sign ups as well.

The race starts at 4:30 p.m.
