VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Deployed service men and women are being remembered around the holiday season and a local University is trying to send them a little bit of love from home.

Regent University is sorting and sending Christmas care packages on Friday for deployed military members and their families.

Donations of books, non-perishable food items, candy and Christmas cards can all be dropped off at Regent in their Military Resource building. Volunteers in the center will pack up the goods on Friday afternoon and send them to deployed heroes.

Anyone interested in donating can drop off items to Regent University in the Divinity Building.
