Newport News school bus involved in crash

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – A Newport News school bus was involved in a crash on Wednesday morning.

The crash occurred just before 6:30 a.m. near the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Oyster Point Road.

Two other vehicles collided and the bus was hit during the crash.

Newport News Schools spokeswoman Michelle Price says no students were on board the bus at the time of the crash, and the driver did not suffer any injuries.

At this time, two westbound lanes of Oyster Point Road are still closed while the crash is clearing.
