VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Less than 2 weeks until Santa comes to town - has your family gotten a tree for him to put presents under?

Skipper Farms spokesperson and co-owner, Andrew Skipper, said it's never too late or too early.

Trees start getting cut as early as the day after Thanksgiving and some of them as late as the week before Christmas. They'll last into January as long as they are given water and not kept too close to a heating source.

Skipper Farms said hundreds of trees are sold at their Virginia Beach and Chesapeake locations every year and they see the same families year after year.

Trees are cut every week, which is a good thing because they're fresh enough to keep up with the growing demand.

Real trees are eco-friendly and Bill Skipper said every real tree that gets cut and shipped off for Christmas, two more are planted in its place. The Skippers said they enjoy the smell of real trees and the authenticity makes it feel more like Christmas.

Skipper Farms sells Concolor Fir, Douglas Fir, Fraser Fir and White Pine trees. The variety they carry are the most popular Christmas trees.
