NORFOLK, Va. – City Manager Marcus Jones announced his leaving Norfolkto take a position in Charlotte in October.
On Monday Jones also announced he hired Sabrina Joy-Hogg to fill the position of Deputy City Manager in Charlotte.
Joy-Hogg has held leadership roles in both the state and city government levels over 25 years. She recently served from 2011-current as Chief Deputy City Manager and acting director of the Office of Budget and Strategic Planning in Norfolk.
Joy-Hogg also previously served as senior quality and finance analyst from 2004-2007.
“Sabrina’s experience, passion and vision are a great fit for the City of Charlotte,” Jones said. “I’ve seen her dedication first-hand, and I know she will do great things for this community as she did for the Commonwealth of Virginia and the City of Norfolk.”
